Is this the same Rogerson’s near Port Loring Ontario that would do the flyouts?
It’s been a long time, but I believe you are right about that.
Is there or was there an actual Rogerson’s Lodge? My father seems to remember his family talking about one when he was a child.
Yes there was, we went many years ago. I believe they sold out and is now called Tornado lodge. I will never forget the pilot a young 70 year old man that flew the Beaver plane. His name was Sterling. Darrel was the son of the owner. What fun we had.
My father took me there 50 some years ago and we fished, and we went to the lodge. We flew on a plane from Rogerson’s over to smokey island and then it was pickle island we went there several times I loved that place, is it still in business? I want to take my husband and children there. I have so many fond memories of that wonderful magical place
