Highlights:

Hembree Park is a small city park in Roswell, Georgia which has a variety of amenities and activities for visitors including athletic facilities, playgrounds, walking trails, and even a rec center.  The park has a number of baseball fields and is frequently used by baseball teams but there the walking trail is also very popular.  It loops around the ball fields and is on a gravel path that is in the shade most of the time. It is a fairly easy trail with only a minimum amount of elevation change and it is used frequently by those that live in the area.

There are actually backcountry campsites here that were built by the Boy Scouts as part of an Eagle Project in 2002. A picnic pavilion, fire ring, and and tent sites are situated near a stream in the back section of the park and the trail passes right by them. Contact the Rec Center to make a reservation because you will need a permit to use these campsites.
