Cross-Country Road Trip Video – Summer 1996

This is a video slide show of a cross-country road trip that I did with Mackie in 1996. We drove over 17,000 miles, hit all four corners of the U.S. and did a lot of hiking, backpacking, canoeing, and fishing. Here’s a link to a map of our journey.  The red lines mark this 1996 trip with Mackie and the green lines mark a 1998 trip I did with The Ox.  Mackie met up with me in Lebanon, New Hampshire – so the 1996 journey lasted 38 days for him and 65 days for me.

If you haven’t taken some time off to explore the country, then I highly recommend it. As you will see, you don’t need a lot of money for the trip – especially if you camp frequently. You just need the time … or more importantly to make the time.

If you enjoyed the video, check out the photo gallery from our road trip and a shot of our spiritual leader for the venture.  There’s about 130 pictures from the journey – and this isn’t even the entire collection!
