Bert Adams Scout Reservation encompasses nearly 1,300 acres and officially opened at its present location in 1960. The property hosts a variety of special events and programs throughout the year, including summer camps, weekend camping opportunities, Jamborees, and other Scouting gatherings that attract participants from across the Southeast. The reservation’s developed facilities support these activities while the extensive wooded grounds, lakes, and trails provide ample opportunities for outdoor exploration. This hike begins at the nature center and follows Lake Bulow Campbell around a portion of the reservation, offering an easy and enjoyable way to see the property. The roughly two-mile route passes through the wooded landscape and crosses two footbridges before continuing past both a large and a small amphitheater.
