Highlights:

The Bert Adams Scout Reservation is a prominent Boy Scout camp located near Covington, Georgia, about 30 miles southeast of Atlanta. Operated by the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the camp has a rich history dating back to 1927 and is known for offering high-quality Scouting programs. It’s a place where Scouts of all ages can experience the outdoors, develop leadership skills, and participate in traditional Scouting activities.  Its blend of traditional Scouting and innovative programs make Bert Adams a premier destination for youth development and outdoor adventure in Georgia.

Bert Adams Scout Reservation has nearly 1300 acres and officially opened in 1960.  The reservation provides special events like summer camps, weekend camping, and Jamborees, which attract Scouts from all over the Southeast that enjoy the camps state-of-the-art facilities. This hike starts at the nature center and follows Lake Bulow Campbell around the Scout Reservation. The roughly two mile route crosses two footbridges and passes both a large and small amphitheater on the hike. There are great views across the lake for the majority of the route.
