Highlights:

Cane Creek Park is located near Waxhaw, NC and is run by Union County. The park’s focal point is a 350-acre lake rumored to house trophy bass and the park has wilderness, group, and full-service campsites surrounding the water. There are also nearly 14 miles of trails for hikers, bikers, and horseback riders.

On this hike, I started at the parking lot for the group campsites and hiked the green trail to some of the points along the lake. There isn’t a lot of elevation change on this route and it gives you a chance to explore the group camping area and some of the nearby cabins.
