Highlights:

Camp Barney Medintz is the overnight camp of the Marcus JCC of Atlanta, located in the north Georgia Blue Ridge mountains and near Cleveland, GA. The camp sits on 540 acres, and has two large private lakes. Since 1963, “Camp Barney” has served nearly 1400 boys & girls each summer from all across the US.

This hike at Camp Barney starts at the fishing dock and shelter and follows a jeep trail around the lake. This is private land so make sure to get permission to visit the camp before you explore Lake Louis. The hike is flat and easy and it’s worth taking a fishing pole along as you work your way around the lake. There are a lot of largemouth bass in Lake Louis.
