Roswell Riverwalk

The City of Roswell has several well-known trails and outdoor recreational areas due to its proximity to the Chattahoochee River and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Some popular trails in the Roswell area include the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, the Oxbo Trail, the Vickery Creek Trail, Big Creek Greenway, and the Roswell Riverwalk.  The park spans about 90 acres, providing plenty of space for various outdoor activities.

The Roswell River Boardwalk is a multi-purpose greenway that parallels the Chattahoochee River and is part of the overall Roswell Riverwalk that runs across Bull Sluice Lake from Azalea Drive to Willeo Road. It is a popular walking path for residents of metro Atlanta – particularly on weekends or at the end of a work day. Dogs are permitted on the boardwalk but must be on a leash.  This hike starts at a small parking area at Willeo Road and follows the boardwalk upstream and along the Chattahoochee River to Azalea Drive. There are multiple parking areas and walks that you can do in this area – but this is the most scenic section.
