Highlights:
This short section along the Appalachian Trail hugs the Blue Ridge Parkway and ends at a small pull-out near mile marker 9.6. It’s best done as a day-hike, or with a longer section of Appalachian Trail for an overnight hike. I hiked this little piece in 1996 to finish the Reeds to Rockfish Gap section that I abandon when the Camel blew out his knee a week earlier. There are some nice views of Three Ridges less than a mile north of Reeds Gap on this hike.
