Highlights:

Life University is a private university located in Marietta, Georgia. The school wasfounded in 1974 by Dr. Sid E. Williams and was initially focused on chiropractic education. It is now known for its holistic approach to health and wellness education.  The 110-acre campus features modern classrooms, laboratories, and clinics designed to support hands-on learning and research.  It also has trails surrounding the campus which are a great way to explore the campus.

This hike starts at the bridge next to the track at Life University and follows a creek up stream to a 19th century village with log cabins and an inactive mill with a water wheel. Follow the trail below the bridge and start by hiking the short trail along the creek until you come to the old village. From here, you continue through the campus and along the sidewalk next to Barclay Circle until you reach Wildwood Park on the left.At Wildwood Park, hike about 0.6 miles of the loop trail until you reach an exercise stop with a pull-up bar and a fence prohibiting dogs from taking a spur trail. This trail leads back to Life University and to the track area where you started. It’s a nice way to get a mix of urban woods hiking and explore the University campus at the same time.
