The Ritz-Carlton at Lake Oconee is a luxury resort near Greensboro, Georgia with outdoor activities including hiking, biking, golfing, kayaking, and fishing. The resort sits directly on the lake which was created in 1979 when Georgia Power completed the construction of the Wallace Dam on the Oconee River.

The centrally located Oconee Trail is a popular hike for guests of the Ritz Carlton at Lake Oconee. It is an easy to moderate trail that is used by hikers, runners, and bikers. The paved trail has occasional views of the lake and winds through towering hardwoods and pines and near the Oconee and National golf courses.
