Highlights:

Man Key is an island in the Florida Keys. It is within the boundaries of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge and located in the Outlying Islands – in the southern Mule Keys that are 9 miles west of Key West.  Man Key is east of Ballast Key which is the farthest southern island in the chain.  It is also east of Woman Key and south of Barracouta Key.

Man Key is located a short boat ride from the town of Key West in southern Florida. It is a small island in a protected area a few miles across from the bustling harbor and bar district of Key West. Man Key offers snorkeling and kayaking opportunities and a small beach which faces east toward the harbor of Key West. The area is a nice place to take a break and check out some of the marine life in the refuge, but most of the island is held together by a root system of mangrove trees, so hiking opportunities are limited. Danger Charters and a number of outdoor adventure companies provide both kayaking and snorkeling trips to the area.
