The section of trail from Sloan Bridge to Burrell’s Ford Road is a wooded area that starts near the East Fork of the Chattooga River. The Trail then passes an impressive waterfall, ascends to SC 107 near the Walhalla Fish Hatchery, then drops to the Chattooga River Gorge area at Burrell’s Ford Road where a walk-in campground is located near the river.
