HIGHLIGHTS: This six mile loop hike on the Lover’s Lane Trail follows the Sol Duc River to a scenic set of falls that are set in an old growth forest. It can be hiked in either direction, but the western piece ends in the park campground and is more heavily used. The trail can be accessed from the Resort area (near cabins 129 and 130) and it has very little elevation change for the majority of the route. Watch your step on the wood bridges that line the Lover’s Lane Trail. The combination of wet weather and thick moss can make the wood very slick.
