HIGHLIGHTS: From Woodstock, the Appalachian Trail enters the domain of the Dartmouth Outing Club. Based out of Hanover, NH they maintain the next 75 miles of trail which passes near the small town of South Pomfret, the White River, and the Happy Hill cabin. The cabin is the oldest shelter on the A.T., and it unique to say the least. The bridge over the Connecticut River is only six miles from here, and it marks the border between the States of Vermont and New Hampshire.
