HIGHLIGHTS: The Len Foote Hike Inn is located in and around the Amicalola Falls State Park and Chattahoochee National Forest. It is targeted to hikers that enjoy the wilderness but prefer a soft bed, hot showers, and great food instead of backcountry camping. The Inn was completed in the late 1990′s and is accessible only by foot over a moderate five mile trail which originates at the top of the falls. The trail is fairly easy and it crosses some small streams and ridges on the way to the Inn. You can combined it with the blue blazed Approach Trail and white blazed Appalachian Trail to complete a one-way shuttle hike across Springer Mountain, the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail.
